The Hive is an CPU group of monsters that infect and take over territories building large hives made out of nearby material.. when player activity in an area grows the hive will launch an attack using slime cannons and monsters... if the hive begins to take footholds in an area they start building nests so defeat them quickly.. if a hive is created it will remain dorment until a player enters the area.. once the player enter the area monsters will swarm out of the hive and attack the player until either the player leaves, the player kills the hive, or the player dies... the longer the hive remain in an area the more hives they create.. once 3 hives are created the area officially becomes hive territory and monsters in that area become twice as powerful.. hives are made out of slime blocks.. hives are extremely vulnerable to fire.. if a player begins breaking a hive with his fist or tools mobs will swarm out twice as fast
